October 2024 Roundup Newsletter

Dear Mark

I am excited to share the remarkable progress the Chamber has made in fostering trade and investment opportunities between the UK and Egypt over the past few months. Our recent initiatives have highlighted the vast potential for collaboration and growth in this dynamic region.

The Beyond the Mission event successfully brought together delegates from our recent mission to Egypt, allowing us to delve into the numerous opportunities identified and outline the next steps for our ongoing efforts. One of the key highlights was the Egypt-UK Investment Forum, held in partnership with HSBC and UK Export Finance. This forum served as an invaluable platform to explore the myriad of opportunities available for expansion in Egypt and the wider region.

Additionally, we hosted a VIP networking event in collaboration with Orascom Development, focusing on investment prospects in Egypt’s property sector. With 150 delegates in attendance, the evening was a vibrant mix of music, drinks, and engaging discussions about the future of investment in Egypt. This was followed by a three-day property roadshow where Orascom Development showcased remarkable destinations such as El Gouna, Makadi Heights, and O West.

Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to explore further opportunities in healthcare, education, agriculture, and manufacturing, including inward missions for all to Egypt that are currently in the works.

We are also excited to invite you to our upcoming Round Table event in Cairo in partnershop with the MOIC and UK Export Finance on October 14th, which will focus on innovation, development, and government engagement. We encourage you to register below and join us as we continue to strengthen our ties and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Thank you for your continued commitment to the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce. Let’s embrace these exciting developments and work together to build a prosperous future.
