Visa Information for British Passport Holders
UK nationals travelling to Egypt on business need to obtain a Business Visa prior to departure to Egypt. Please request your Business Visa a minimum of 5 working days prior to your departure to Egypt, the Chamber is able to arrange this for you. British passport holders travelling to Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba resorts on the Sinai Peninsula as tourists for a maximum of 15 days -do not require a visa prior to traveling as a free entry permission stamp will be granted upon arrival.
If you intend to go on holiday outside of the above mentioned areas, you must obtain a tourist visa. UK Nationals can obtain a visa upon arrival at any of the Egyptian ports of entry. The visa fee is US$25 at approved bank kiosks within airport arrival halls, before reaching immigration counters.
Visa Information for Egyptian Passport Holders
Egyptian passport holders can apply for a visit visa to the UK. You need to do the following:
- fill in the application form and answer in English
- pay for the visa fee online (in most cases)
- print out your form
- book and attend an appointment at a visa application centre either in Cairo or Alexandria
When you attend your appointment, you must bring:
- the original and a photocopy of all the supporting documents you need for your visa
- certified translations of any supporting documents that are not in English
