ABOUT US

About the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce

Who we are

The EBCC is the leading and exclusive UK-based chamber promoting bilateral trade and investment between Egypt and the UK. We have successfully delivered this unique focus over 40 years, building on our networks both in Egypt and the UK and working in collaboration with governmental entities and representative offices in both countries.

What we do

Our members expand into international markets. With bilateral trade between Egypt and the UK being our main area of focus, we present Egypt as the gateway to Africa and work closely with our collaborators to introduce our UK members to new markets in Egypt and beyond. This is achieved through a wide range of activities including networking events, sector-focused webinars and working groups, trade missions, marketing and showcasing opportunities, international market intelligence and one-to-one matchmaking support.

Events

Online and in person introducing Egypt the UK and all it’s got to offer, economic briefings and market insights, sector-specific tenders and opportunities, UKEF and other financing support, online summits and roundtable discussions, and showcasing opportunities.

Networking

The EBCC hosts networking events both in the UK and Egypt as well as online to facilitate effective interactions and connectivity between its members, introductions to government officials and representatives, and access to leaders in the market.

Trade missions

We organise sector-specific trade missions in both directions to promote bilateral trade and investment. Our missions generally include meetings with government representatives in both countries, site visits, B2B meeting and market briefings. We organise B2B meetings in collaboration with sector-specific associations, fellow BCC member chambers, the Department of Business and Trade (DBT), and the Commercial Office.

Working groups

Steering committees incorporating pioneers in the field, operating with sector-specific focus to support information sharing and constructive dialogues and enhance the collaboration as well as setting the agenda for achievable targets and constructive outcomes for industries of focus.

One-to-one matchmaking

A relationship manager assigned to our top tiered membership levels to know more about the business and its goals and offer tailored solutions and matchmaking opportunities to best serve the needs of companies.
