During the meeting, Minister Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s pride in its longstanding economic relations with the United Kingdom and the strong presence established by British companies in the Egyptian market over the years. He also conveyed Egypt’s aspiration to further expand economic cooperation and increase the volume of British investments across various sectors.

The Foreign Minister noted that the Egyptian state continues to implement a comprehensive economic vision aimed at strengthening economic stability and promoting sustainable growth, despite the successive geopolitical and economic challenges facing the region and the world. He stressed that the Egyptian economy has demonstrated resilience and adaptability in the face of regional and international crises. In this regard, he reviewed the measures and reforms undertaken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and facilitate the business environment, including the development of monetary and fiscal policies, as well as enhancing the efficiency of the tax and customs systems, thereby supporting trade and investment flows. He also emphasized the state’s commitment to empowering the private sector and increasing its contribution to economic activity as a key partner in the development process.

Minister Abdelatty also highlighted during the meeting the competitive advantages of the Egyptian market, foremost among them its strategic geographic location, modern infrastructure, and the free trade agreements linking Egypt to numerous regional and international markets. He further pointed to the promising investment opportunities offered by the Suez Canal Economic Zone in the fields of industry, logistics, and energy. In addition, he referred to the “Golden License” program launched by the Egyptian government to facilitate procedures for establishing strategic projects, noting that the program has been attracting increasing interest from foreign investors due to the streamlined, expedited, and unified procedures it provides.
